currently there is two program can be used, one is GPSD which is a gps logger , and other one is hike.app which can show the current location and show in google map. The one that show in youtube will ready within this week for user to download.

about the shipment time , it would depend on the shipment method. If you choose EMS , it would be within 3 working day normally. If you choose Registered Air Mail, it would be about 7 to 10 working day.

  20. moming2k on

    Dear Justin,

currently you will need to have GPRS connect to update the map, and we are trying to port the freemap to use the google map. when it is ok , you can have truly offline navigation without the GPRS connection.

  29. Bebef on

If the new iPhone 3G firmware 2.1 vastily improves GPS, like updated positional info every second and so on, will your applications be enabled to use the 3Gs built-in GPS?

  30. moming2k on

    Dear Bebef,

We will have to try it by that time, but as 3G iphone use build in GPS chipset , the current testing on it show that the accuracy is not good enough to be use as navigation. We will keep our eyes on this , see if the 2.1 firmware would increase the accuracy.

How about the shipping fare from US to Taiwan?

Freemap uses opensource RoadMap – which I have seen a ported video of RoadMap running on an iPhone in California (according to the person running the video) – Has anyone heard anything about this RoadMap port?

  44. HARDWARRIOR on

Is igpsd open source software? If yes, where can I download sources? http://code.google.com/p/igpsd/source/browse/#svn/trunk is empty

  48. David on

    Hello guys,

I need to know if you shipp your products to Brazil, then i have a couple of questions to ask.

Does the device only work with google maps? Works with google maps offline also? Is there another software compatible even if paid? Do any of those softwares work with voice directions?

Thank you very much and I hope to buy from you soon.

    greetings

  49. moming2k on

    Dear David,

Currently it is only working with Google Map , but you can use it offline as the program can store the map inside the iPhone/iPod touch.

We are developing a new software for that , but currently will only target Hong Kong and China. the demo video is here

  50. O. on

Hi there, I’d be interested in your product but I find information hard to find on your website.

Which iPhone version and firmware are supported by the cable? I have an iPhone 3g on FW2.2 but I plan to upgrade the FW when new upgrades will be released, will this be a problem? (will upgrading to 2.3 for instance will break compatibility?)

Also, which models of Holux GPS are compatible and what differienciates them from one another?

    Thanks

    O.

  51. saifin on

Hi, I’m from Malaysia and I’m using iPhone 2G on firmware 2.2. Does the receiver support my country roadmap? if can please send me detail and where i can get this product.
    Thanks

hi. is there any way to hack jailbroken iphone 2g to use native applications run through igpsd as if it were a an iphone 3g ?

  54. wolfiko on

Hi. I have iphone 2g and Holux M-1200. In future can i use your cable with 3.0 firmware and step-by-step navigation like TomTom?

    • Emilio on

Hi I have same question do they answer you. Thanx

  55. Robbe on

Hi. Will this work with OS 3.0 ? Thanks!

  56. Robbe on

Hi. Sorry, second question. All four supported Holux receivers (236, 240, 100b, 1200) are bluetooth devices. As the connection requires a cable, why use an expensive bluetooth device, not a cheaper gps cable mouse without bluetooth? Thanks!

  57. Jose on

    Hi
I see that you have not updated this blog or the store in a while and I would like to know whether you are still selling the IGPSD cable.
If you are then I would like to know the following:
Is it compatible with the Ipod Touch 2G v3.0?
Would you deliver it to the UK? How much?
Which of the current Holux gps devices are compatible with the cable? I could not find any of the one you mention in the store on sell in the UK (all discontinued).
    Thanks in advance.

  58. pattiwilli on

work your cable with the holux 210 gm???

  59. Vorticerosso on

    Hi,
is there any reseller in Italy?
    Someone in Europe?
    Thanks

  60. Rv on

Will the cable also charge the iphone?

  61. Alon on

Hi, i bought a cable for my iphone about half a year back, from a guy named Elad in Israel.
recently I downloaded this software from cydia that will allow me to use iGo with the cable & gps.
unfortunatly it requires a certain License Number, which I don’t have.
Please contact me via e-mail soon,
    Thank you very much,
    Alon

  62. Robin on

Is it possible to extend the cable for the GPS receiver?
I thinks it’s to short for my way of planned installation of the GPS in my car.

  63. Nick on

    Hi Alon,

What software did you download that allowed you to use Igo with cable and GPS? I am using the 3GS now but the built in GPS is so poor without 3G that its almost inoperable. I see the only solution as having the dedicated GPS receiver so that Igo can work like it should.

Let me know and good luck!

  64. Robert on

    Hello from Spain,
I am interested in cable and holux 1200 gps pack to use with my iphone 2g. I have installed already Xgps promgam from Cydia.

Could you send it cash on delivery to me, please? or let me know the way to get one.

    Thank you very much
    Rgds
    Robert
