1) The xgps software will work on all country that is support by google map map view .
2) the different between M1000 and M1200 mainly is M1200 is the size is small in M1200 , it is just about 70% in size of M1000.
the function and the signal power for both of them is nearly the same.
3) both package is include the igpsd cable for connecting between Holux GPS and iphone
4) yes, xgps software is need to install and license will need to obtain from xgps , we will provide license for all the client that purchase our cable starting from Sep 2008

I’m a bit confused. Sometimes you say M1200, sometimes M1200b. The ‘b’, does it mean something? Or is it compatible to my M1200, without ‘b’, bluetooth-receiver?

You can use any USB cable that convert bigger one to smaller one to charge the GPS device, if you buy the M1200 Package from our store , it should have a extra usb cable to do this function.

Actually only M1000 can have two model , M1000 and M1000b , and M1200 only have one model.
The different between M1000 and M1000b is the version, M1000b is a updated version.
Got the serial key today.
igpsd + xgps software + holux m1200
it connects fast to the satellites, doesn’t disconnect if you lock the iPhone.
now it just need the route planning and it’s perfect.

Today i purchased SERIAL from xgps website now. After submitting serial key. Its show igpsd is connected and i have till not yet connected my GPS unit to my iphone. don’t know why.
And 2nd is I have HOLUX M1000 not (M1000b) but this cable and unit works in pervious version on 1.1.4 software. Please help.

Yes~i have already tried that and also RESTARTED MY Iphone but XGPS keep showing ( iGPSD connected) and i have till not connected my UNIT To iphone. Don’t know what to do. Please help

But can you get the GPS update when you connected the Holux to it ? or just the iGPSD connected is shown no matter it is really connected or not ?
If it is just latter case , I think xgps can fix it by next version with the truly detection.

Which holux you are going to use ? currently it support Holux 236, 240 , M1000b , M1200
I have test Holux 241 but it failed to connect , so user that want to use this cable have to prevent buy M241

I don’t know much about Holux 241 or else What do i have is HOLUX M1000 not (M1000b) and still after i connect my HOLUX to iphone with igpsd cable and run xgps software not shows up anything or something like location. And Satellites are locked cause led on gps unit is blinking. But unit was working fine in 1.1.4 and also works with MAP-THIS software on PSP.

M1000 and xgps software should work perfectly. Have you update the software for xgps and have a fresh restart to have a try. We would report this to xgps team as well. Thanks for your report.
Yes I already have updated my software and also do daily check for update & my current software version is 1.0.1-2. And I want to explain how do i do all thing
1. Open cydia and install xgps
2. Launch xGPS and insert license key and after inserting key and Show iGPSD connected and i have not yet connected my unit.
3. Restart my Iphone
4. Connect my HOLUX M1000 Unit to Iphone using with iGPSD cable
5. Launch xGPS software
6. I can see the Tab disable GPS. ( I do tab on option nothing happens) Speed show’s 0 GPS signal icon nothing change.
7. When i go in setting’s and change to Iphone 3G GPS and back to main and enable GPS its dose track my location but not correctly. As data coming from GSM towers.

Well i have finally made it. To make it work on my Iphone. Actually the problem is with iGPSD cable. Today i just buy a data cable from shop and i already have knowledge and tool like soldering iron and solder. I just opend then connector and soldered it with mini usb type B connector with pin 1 and 13. and after that it just started working.

Now my Iphone 2g 8GB, the OS drive for application installation was full. If I install new app. My iphone will hang and need to uninstall other app. Now the balance storage was 19mb from 300mb. So anyone can help me how can I install app to another drive ???

Yes , xgps software have built in download function, and you can use that function when you connect with wifi , and download all the map you need and after that , you will not require EDGE or 3G connection on street

if you want to have more application space, you can ssh to your iphone , mkdir ~/Applications and copy the content of /Applications to ~/Applications and relink it by using ln -s ~/Application /Application
See~~i do also have some idea to download maps.
1. You have iPhone 2G or 3G both and don’t have EDGE or Wifi connection.
2. Download Global Map Download Tool (FREEWARE) software and have alot options.
3. You can download Maps from yahoo,windows live,google etc. and convert it for Iphone.
4. Much more efficient than xGPS downloaded maps. like you can set Zoom adjustment 10X 5X 2X 1X. more detail more memory.

Not all model would be ok , like Holux 241 has test that not work with this cable.
Currently the support list is old model like 236, 240, 1000 , 1000b . And the latest model that support is M1200

Yes, I think this one have bigger usage, as the battery of the Holux GPS can last for 13 hours which is better than other solution that need to draw energy from iPhone

Finally I got my cable last Saturday and I really tried out on the spot, even though in my hometown *shy*. It works like charm. Great job and well done to the guys in iGPSD team =)
In fact my phone now is kind of comparable with iPhone 3G (well I have unlimited EDGE plan so it’s just as good), with real GPS in hand *smug*. Just one thing need to figure out, most applications which uses GPS actually obtain GPS signal from built-in GPS (in this case only works with iPhone 3G). Is there any hack that can “lie” to the app or whatsoever to read GPS signal from serial port instead? Really feel like using apps like RunKeeper…

This is fake!!!! how does it happened that your cable is positioned on top and the signal indicator of your iphone is also as where your cable is connected? isn’t supposed to be on the opposite side?
