iPhone GPS navigation software demo video
Elad has already back to Israel , and he has taken a video on the real usage of the navigation software that is running on iphone.

in the demo video, you can see the software can provide the search address function, the real time update on the current location, a real time route correction if you miss the turn, and the map can rotate to always pointing to your moving direction.

wow this is really cool!
I have installed the software Freemap on my iphone, and I could see that is very easy to translate the software, just changing the lang file though SSH . But I can´t find maps that work on Freemap. There are a lot of .RDM maps at http://imaptools.com/roadmap/ but these maps didn’t work. Does somebody knows were i can find .RDM maps that works on freemap?

Just backup it, and open with the wordpad replacing the word after ¨=¨ to any language you want.The software works well but there is not maps for other countries, and I don’t know software to covert others kinds of maps to RDM.

Hi there…
I am currently in Israel and am in desperate need for a GPS. I have the Iphone 3G 8Gig and wondered what cables I would need to run the Freemap Israel maps on it? I have downloaded the software through Cydia but it only seems to work using the internet to set my location. Is there a way of using these maps as a navigation system WITHOUT the need for Wifi? It just costs too much to tap on to the israeli network on a UK phone.
