Preview on next GPS Live release

GPS Live is under rewrite and it will have the following improvement.

  • Start / Pause button to indicate the update status.
  • Toolbar for the GPS Live will be dragable 
  • additonal search bar for searching the Hong Kong address ( if you are developer and you want to include your home country , please contact us )
  • built in webserver that can report the current location by provide the json result ( like: http://127.0.0.1:8080/location.json )

    Great work. But can you use GPS without Internet?
    I mean can you save maps on this software? So that you can know your location on the map even if there’s no Internet (EDGE – WiFi) available.

    Hello !
    Received cable and unit today. Works great (even in buildings). For the next release of your software a configurable coords-display (change between DMS, MinDec, DegDec, UTM) would be nice.

    hi,
    was just wodering, I live in Bahrain & there isn’t an integrated mapping system. Could you please advice if you have full map of Bahrain. If not can it be that you get it from another gps program (as I know some gps developers have the full map of bahrain).

    hi iPhone-tk,

    you can show the map offline by using Maps Offline
    more detail is in here

    but for the location update , currently we will to send a query to google to update the location , so you will need a edge connection to do so. We are currently working on remove this limitation.

    We have updated the repos, you can see a new item call GPS Live beta in GPS folder of install.app, please have a try. Thanks.

    We are moving to develop in Freemap for iphone as the next goal , so may not be update this program in a short period of time. We hope we can bring the true navigation tool in the near future.

    K I saw it there but its version 02 is there a version 03 that wont lock the phone like the last one did I am nervous about installing
